SB 1992 (2021) -  Solicitation of Nonmedical Services

Solicitation of Nonmedical Services: Providing that a person who submits or sponsors a nonmedical solicitation that contains certain terminology or fails to include specified disclosures commits a deceptive and unfair trade practice, subject to the penalties and remedies of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act; prohibiting the unauthorized use, sale, or transfer of protected health information for the purpose of soliciting professional services; providing criminal penalties for willful and knowing violations and enhanced criminal penalties for violations committed for financial gain, etc.
Effective Date: Except as otherwise expressly provided in this act, this act shall take effect July 1, 2021
