Revises definition of "first responder" to include 911 public safety telecommunicators; expands eligibility for certain workers' compensation benefits for first responders to include 911 public safety telecommunicators; revises criteria in Special Risk Class of Florida Retirement System to include members employed as 911 public safety telecommunicators; specifies amount of creditable years needed to receive full retirement benefit without penalty; requires such members to have their retirement benefits calculated in accordance with provisions for Regular Class members.
