SB 778 (2014) -  Student Discipline

Revising the duties of the district school boards relating to student discipline and school safety; revising the qualifications of a school resource officer and school safety officer; authorizing a school resource officer and a school safety officer to make an arrest only after certain circumstances occur; requiring a law enforcement agency that serves a school district to enter into cooperative agreements with the district school board, ensure the training of school resource officers and safety officers as specified, and develop guidelines for the selection of such officers, etc.
