Auditor General: Requires financial audits to be conducted in accordance with certain standards & activities; expands definition & standards of "operational audit"; revises duties pertaining to financial audits of boards of trustees of community colleges, school boards, universities, Florida Clerks of Court Operations Corporation, & Florida School for the Deaf and Blind; revises time for conducting certain audits; revises requirements for conducting performance audit of ad valorem tax laws; deletes authority of AG to conduct audit of Investment Fraud Restoration Financing Corporation; authorizes AG to conduct audits or other engagements of certain virtual education providers; expands requirements of annual report to Legislature & Legislative Auditing Committee; deletes requirements relating to uniform case reporting system & Florida Clerks of Court Operations Corporation; requires financial audits be conducted in accordance with certain auditing standards & activities; transfers responsibility of developing rules for surplus property records to CFO; deletes certain responsibilities of AG for Emergency Communications Number E911 System Fund & criminal justice trust funds; deletes requirement that AG perform annual audits of Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind; revises criteria for audits for institutions that receive funds from Bright Futures Scholarship program; requires institution not subject to audit to attest, under penalty of perjury, that scholarship proceeds were used in compliance with law.
