SB 1832 (2011) -  Voluntary Prekindergarten Program

Authorizes nonpublic schools to administer the statewide kindergarten screening to kindergarten students who were enrolled in the Voluntary Prekindergarten Program. Requires the Department of Education to include the percentage of students who meet all state readiness measures in its provider rating methodology. Removes a limitation on the minimum kindergarten readiness rate for private and public prekindergarten providers. Requires the department to adopt procedures for annually reporting the percentage of students who meet all state readiness measures.
