General Bill
Local Option Surcharge on Rentals or Leases of Motor Vehicles:
Authorizes a county which is a member of a metropolitan planning organization to impose by ordinance a surcharge on rentals or leases of motor vehicles; provides limitations; provides for collection, administration, and enforcement of the surcharge by the Department of Revenue; provided duties of the department; requires a referendum; provides for uses of surcharge proceeds; provides for application of applicable rules of the department.

July 1, 2006.
