Civil Justice Subcommittee Holds Workshop on Court Rulemaking

Tallahassee, Fla. – The House Civil Justice Subcommittee, chaired by Representative Eric Eisnaugle (R-Orlando), today held a workshop on court rulemaking to examine the history of the court rulemaking authority in the State of Florida and discuss potential policy changes.  The workshop was held during the committee’s regularly scheduled committee meeting on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“Today’s workshop was just the beginning of the discussion on various policy options that the Florida House may consider when addressing court rulemaking during the upcoming legislative session,” said Representative Eisnaugle.

“And, I look forward to continuing to receive input from committee members and stakeholders in identifying the best policy options for moving forward with legislation in this area,” concluded Representative Eisnaugle.
