SB 1734 (2011) -  Student Assessment in the Public Schools

Provides that the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) shall be discontinued. Requires the High School Competency Test (HSCT) to replace the grade 10 FCAT. Requires a student to earn passing scores on the HSCT to qualify for a standard high school diploma. Requires the State Board of Education to designate passing scores. Provides for implementation beginning with the 2013-2014 school year.
