General Bill   by Schools & Learning Council and Legg (CO-SPONSORS) Altman; Zapata
Gifted and Academically Talented Student Education: Requires district school boards to provide parental notice of requirements & procedures for requesting evaluations for gifted student classification; requires reporting of gifted student classification, services, & performance data; requires DOE to develop & district school boards to implement procedures & eligibility criteria for whole-grade & subject matter acceleration; requires reporting of student acceleration data; requires state-approved teacher preparation programs to incorporate specified gifted student instruction; requires certain school district guaranteed allocation expenditures to be reported separately; creates Gifted & Academically Talented Student Task Force to report to Governor & Legislature.
